IpMaster - IpMaster now runs across Windows Platforms Win'98, Win Me, Win2000, WinXP !!
IpMaster sniffs, or monitors, Internet and/or Network data packets coming in, and going out of, your PC and network. IpMaster allows filtering packets so as to provide the capability of seeing only the data you wish to see, putting aside information that does not pertain to Ip addresses and/or Port numbers you desire to examine or track.
For you Gamers... IpMaster gives you total control and flexibility...filtering by Port numbers and Ip addresses so as to isolate, say cheater’s Ip addresses, and/or examine game server Ip addresses and data flow throughout game play. By examining the data packets, you can isolate player names, matching them with Ip addresses. See descriptions of techniques I use to control the players in the flight-sim server I manage....you’ll discover how to better manage your game servers.Network Buffs... IpMaster will show three ( 3 ) display formats, Text, Hexadecimal, and Decimal. IpMaster maintains it's own log file. The log file maintains all information, not filtered, that has been viewed since the last time the Clear button was pressed.
You need to provide logs to an isp webmaster, of hacker attempts on your computer or network ? IpMaster's logs are complete...simply press the Clear button, then save off the IpMasterLogPkt.rec file when you're done.

 Monitoring malware outgoing internet packets
The application is quite basic, but because of the filtering capability, is good at alerting for unexpected internet access.
Nice to have :
1. History of IP addresses accessed since start of logging, so filters can be added to, just by clicking. ie reduces requirement for manual entry. There could be a button for filtering called [Ignore All IP Addresses To Date]
2. Using above history, statistics for each IP address such as #packets in/out, time of last packet in/out, packet type(UDP/TCP/IP/Mixed etc)
3. "New IP, not seen before" alert, and automatic logging once spotted.
Reason for trial : suspected malware activity by trusted source (keyboard event hook) -> is keyboard scanning data being sent to external site?

To accomplish that which is stated by the reviewer, the reviewer will need to acquire IpMasterPro, rather than IpMaster v2.1 ( the lite version ). IpMaster v2.1 was designed primarily for those that are interested only in a simple packet monitor, as stated by its description. To see exclusive Ip(s), and monitoring such, with statistics, and point-and-click blocking, IpMasterPro v3.1 and above is the product one would want. IpMasterPro has features one would typically look for in a traffic monitor, and much more.
Soon-to-be released, IpMasterPro v4.0 will allow point and click block management from a single machine to any machine on the network. IpMasterPro with IpWallMaster ( firewall ), and entire network can be block managed from a single location ;)
